07/11/1972 Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Perugia with a grade of 110/110 cum laude.
1973 Certification to practise medicine.
15/05/1973 Appointed hospital assistant at the Otolaryngology Clinic of Perugia.
29/10/1975 Degree as a Specialist in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Pathologies from the University of Perugia with a grade of 50/50 cum laude.
01/10/1977 Appointed university assistant at the Otolaryngology Clinic of Perugia.
06/07/1981 Degree as a Specialist in Audiology from the University of Milan with a grade of 70/70.
1984 Stay in London, participating in numerous operations with the surgical team of Prof. T.R. Bull, and thus gaining in-depth knowledge of functional and aesthetic remodelling techniques for the nose.
1985 Qualification for the position of head of an Otolaryngology Department with a grade of 97/100.
09/03/1986 Appointed Associate Professor with the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Perugia for teaching Otorhinolaryngology (MED31).
1987 Appointed to teach Otolaryngology as part of the degree course in Dentistry and Dental Prostheses.
1989 Confirmed as Associate Professor.
01/06/2004 to 31/10/2005 Head of the Otolaryngology Day Surgery Structure at the Perugia Hospital.
1/11/2005 to 30/04/2009 Director of the Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Clinic of the University of Perugia at the Terni Branch. Coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Oncology Group for Head and Neck Cancer at Santa Maria Hospital in Terni.
01/05/2009 – current Established a private practice in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in Perugia.
I was on the Faculty of the School of Specialisation for Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the three-year degree programme in Speech Therapy at the University of Perugia.
I have authored and co-authored 214 scientific works published in textbooks, national and international journals, and the proceedings of national and international congresses.
With Prof. M. Maurizi, I co-authored the chapters on Dysphonias and Laterocervical Adenopathies in Prof. Paolo Larizza’s Manuale di Medicina Interna (Piccin Editore).
Prof. Maurizi and I also co-authored Le Grandi Sindromi Otorinolaringoiatriche (Piccin Editore), Sindromi e Malattie ORL (Dompé Editore) and Audiovestibologia Clinica (Il Pensiero Scientifico Editore).
Furthermore, I wrote the chapter entitled “Secondary Headaches: Otolaryngology” in Trattato delle Cefalee by V. Gallai and L.A. Pini (Centro Scientifico Editore).
